Join Us This Week:

What to do when you feel unappreciated?

I think all of us feel unappreciated at times and it hurts. Nothing tests our motives more than loving someone who takes us for granted. Jeremiah was despised by the very people that he loved with all his heart. Even though he was unappreciated, his calling from God and his love for his people would not change. This attitude of obedience and faithfulness caused Jeremiah to be one of the most successful prophets in the Old Testament even though not one person during his 50 years of ministry believed what he said. Join us at Park Valley Church in the month of January as we develop a plan from the Bible on what to do when we feel unappreciated.

Service Times:
Saturday @ 6:30 pm
Sunday @ 9:00 am, 10:00 am & 11:15 am

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said:
"It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Acts 20:35 NIV

Why not start 2010 off with a great start and get baptized in his name? Due to the recent cold weather, we are going to hold an indoor baptism at a local pool. What better way to make such a great choice for the Lord than being baptized in a nice warm indoor pool in front of family and friends.

When: Sunday, January 31st at 3:00 pm
Where: Gainesville Hampton Inn (Gateway Shopping Center)
Why: Because He told us to and we will have some dessert afterwards
How: Contact the church office at 703-366-3870 or Shane Canestra at 571-436-9279 or email.

Celebrate Recovery
The purpose of Park Valley Church's Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the "8 Recovery Principles". This experience allows us to "be changed". Watch this video to see how people, just like you, are getting victory over their hurts, habits and hang-ups. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our lives' problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power. Celebrate Recovery meets every Wednesday night at Deja Brew Coffee House in Gainesville at 7:00 pm.

For more information, please email Mark Brady or call him at 703.655.7969.
