Cookout for Troops @ Walter Reed

We will be having a cookout for the troops at Walter Reed on September 5th from 2:30-6:30 pm. Last year, we served approx 200 troops and expect to serve about 200 this year as well. We are asking for volunteers in every area possible... preparing food, serving, clean-up, etc. We are in need of food donations of meats, vegetables, side dishes and deserts. It is opportunity for us to serve those who have served us. Please email Shirley Dominick if you would like to help or for more info.

 

Road-Side Signs Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help put out road signs on Friday evenings, and pick them up on Sunday evenings.

Sound & Lighting Volunteers Needed

PVC is in desperate need of people who want to volunteer for sound/lighting setup and breakdown. Setup time is at 5pm on Saturday nights and breakdown is at 12:15 on Sunday afternoon. We are looking for people who can commit to either of these at least once or twice per month. A group leader is also needed. This person would be in charge of scheduling other volunteers and overseeing the process.

Annual School Supplies Drive
PVC loves getting involved in our community. With this School Supplies Drive, we are helping less fortunate parents who may not have the funds to be able to buy school supplies for their children. If you would like to donate, please consider the following:

  • The school supply items MUST be NEW
  • We are collecting supplies on the weekends of July 25th & 26th, August 1st & 2nd, 8th & 9th

    Volunteers will be needed beginning the week of August 17, to help sort and organize school supplies, assemble school supplies into backpacks by grade etc.

    New York City Bus Trip! Saturday, October 3rd
    Attention PVC women, join us for a day trip to New York City!! We will leave Haymarket at 6:30 AM and return around 11:00 PM. We'll have movies and snacks for the bus ride! A restroom is also available. While in NYC we will have plenty of time to shop and sightsee. We will visit Midtown Manhattan as well as Little Italy and China Town. The price per person is $75 with a $30.00 non-refundable but transferrable deposit. Please sign up ASAP as seats are limited!     PVC Music Last Weekend
    The PVC Band's sole purpose each week is to create an environment where our church as a corporate body can come together and sing out our praises to God.
