Trunk or Treat
Sunday, October 25th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Alvey Elementary. Help us make Trunk or Treat a huge success! We need people who will donate their trunk and/or bag(s) of candy. Please drop off candy in an orange bin in the main hallway or sign up at the Info Table in the main hall to let us know you will donate/decorate your trunk.

Celebrate Recovery
The purpose of Park Valley Church's Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the "8 Recovery Principles." This experience allows us to "be changed." You are not alone! Watch this video to see how people, just like you, are getting victory over their hurts, habits and hang-ups.

Life Development Classes

God wants you to take your next step spiritually. That could mean getting baptized, committing to take time to dig into the Bible on a daily basis, or maybe God wants you to see what His Word has to say about why you exist. Park Valley's Life Development Classes are all about those next steps.

Operation Christmas Child

Anyone completing a shoebox, must drop it off at the info table no later than November 7-8, 2009.

Information, guidelines and prayer cards are available at the info table as well.

Motorcycle Ministry
The motorcycle ministry is having their first ride this month! We will meet at Alvey Elementary at 12:30pm on Sunday, October 18th. We can go to the 11:15am service, then ride! Come join us as we ride for God. Our trip will go out West, away from traffic! It should take us 3-4 hours or so. Spread the word to PVC folks and others. The more the merrier! ** pending weather, cool weather is OK, cold and rain is not! ** Please be sure that you are gassed up and ready to roll at 12:30pm. Children's Offering Cans

Preschoolers and elementary school students who have saved their coins in an offering can for the building fund should bring the cans to church on October 17-18.

We will have a little procession during the Praise and Worship in the adult service for the children to present to the Lord in front of the congregation.

 

PVC Runners!

If you are interested in running with fellow church members, there is a small group that meets once a month on a Saturday morning to go running. Men, women, fast, slow, it doesn't matter. Come join us on our next run on October 17th.

Annual Coat Drive

We will be collecting clean, gently used coats and other winter items (hats, scarves, gloves) starting October 17 and running through November.

There will be a table located in the hallway where you can drop off your items.

Park Valley Kids
Here's what your kids learned last weekend:
      Preschool:
          Bible Story:  God made sky and water - Genesis 1:6-8
          Memory Verse:   "You made the world and everything in it."  Psalms 89:11
          Basic Truth:  God Made Me.

      Elementary:
          Bible Story:  The Epaphroditus - Philippians 2:25-30
          Memory Verse:   "How you made me is amazing and wonderful."  Psalm 139:14
          Virtue:  Individuality - discovering who you were meant to be so you can make a difference.     

PVC Music Last Weekend
The PVC Band's sole purpose each week is to create an environment where our church as a corporate body can come together and sing out our praises to God. We are the directors, You are the Choir and God is our audience! Please join us in this time of singing to and worshiping God together!

This past weekend we welcomed Luminate from Tyler Texas.
