Our Current Series:

Just about every decision we make including what we wear, how we style our hair, the car we drive and the house we live in is motivated in some way by fear. Nothing motivates a person like being scared to death. For the next three weeks, we are going to see what God says about fear and how it's bark is worse than its bite.

Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 - The Fallacy of Fear
Nov. 7 and 8 - Debilitating Fear
Nov. 14 and 15 - Healthy Fear

Service Times:
Saturday @ 6:30 pm
Sunday @ 9:00 am, 10:00 am & 11:15 am

"Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of judgement, and this shows that his love has not been perfected in us."
1 John 4:18 NLT

Annual Coat Drive

We will be collecting clean, gently used coats and other winter items (hats, scarves, gloves) starting October 17 and running through November.

There will be a table located in the hallway where you can drop off your items.

Mission Trip
to Haiti

Interested in traveling and serving in Haiti? Bill and Debbie Harvey will be leading a group to Haiti January 16-24, 2010 to do construction projects and work in the PVC sponsored orphanage.

If you are interested, contact Debbie Harvey or call her at 703-298-3183. The trip is limited to the first 25.

Christmas for Wounded Soldiers
We are looking for volunteers to help with our "Adopt-a-Soldier" program which provides an opportunity for us to change Christmas for a soldier by giving them a $25.00 gift card from Wal-Mart or Target. We are currently scheduled to give the troops the gift cards as well as some other goodies on December 5, at 5:00 pm. In addition, we will be putting together at least 200 gift bags along with the gift cards. Some items needed for the gift bags are deodorant, toothpaste, razors, socks and scarves. Please place your gift cards in the box on the table in the hallway at church by November 29. If you or someone you know wants to help, please contact Shirley Dominick at 703.785.8980 or email.

Celebrate Recovery
The purpose of Park Valley Church's Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the "8 Recovery Principles." This experience allows us to "be changed." You are not alone! Watch this video to see how people, just like you, are getting victory over their hurts, habits and hang-ups.

For more information, please email Bryan or call him at 703.366.3870 or Mark Brady at 703.655.7969.

Attention Vertical Parents!

On November 11th, Vertical will not be held at Alvey Elementary.

Vertical will be held at the Harvey's household. It will be from 7pm to 9pm.

Come hang out, and remember to dress warm!

For directions, please call Kevven Kijak: 703-994-7420

Attention All Parents!

Since we are in the middle of a bad flu season, we want to exercise due diligence to protect Park Valley's children from catching the flu from other children at church.

If your children show any sign of being under-the-weather, or you suspect they may be coming down with something, please keep them home to prevent the potential spread of illness from one child to another. Thank you.

Serve Opportunity

Please join us on the following dates to work at SERVE in Manassas. We provide child care and arts/crafts programs for children from 1-12 years old so that their parents can attend mandatory classes at the SERVE shelter. We need volunteers willing to help with the kids. The next SERVE Child Care Date: Thursday, November 19. Future dates include December 17, 2009 and January 28, 2010. We begin at 6:30 and finish around 8:00 pm. Please email Lisa Malone for more information.
