Nursery

Newborns - Toddlers

We want our nursery to be a great experience for our littlest ones; a place where babies and parents feel comfortable. Health and safety are primary concerns for us. We are committed to keeping the nursery a clean and sanitary place. Our child-to-adult ratio ensures that your child's needs will be personally met as he or she experiences God's love. A nursery leader will meet you at the door to help you check in your child. All of our nursery workers have been screened for your child’s safety.

Classes

  • Infant/Crawlers
  • Walkers—23 months

Infant/Crawlers promote to Walkers when they start walking. Walkers promote to the next class in September depending on their birthdate.

Checking In
A nursery leader will meet you at the door to help you check in your child. Please note on the sign-in sheet any information that will help in caring for your child such as feeding and sleeping times, allergies, and special needs. At the time of check-in, a nursery leader will attach a security band to your baby’s ankle and ask you to keep the matching numbered stub with you. This number will be displayed on the screen in the sanctuary if we need you. Please present the security stub upon return to your child’s classroom. We will verity that your number matches the number on your child’s wristband. Security is a high priority at Park Valley Church. A child will not be released to a parent without presentation of the matching security numbers.

What To Bring
When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following:

  • Disposable diapers
  • A bottle of milk, formula, juice or water (a good practice even for nursing babies)
  • A change of clothes. Please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name.

What Happens if My Child Cries?
As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This usually does not last long and separation becomes easier over time. If your child cries more than 15 minutes and cannot be comforted, the number on your security stub will be displayed on the screen in the sanctuary to notify you to come to the Nursery.
