Our Purpose:
Vertical exists to REACH out to high school students in the area... to CONNECT them to other Vertical students...help them GROW in their faith in Christ, challenge them to SERVE their church and community...and ultimately help them understand how to HONOR God with their whole lives.

Our Vision:
Our hope is that Vertical's Wednesday night service would be a fun, inviting, safe place for Vertical students to bring their non-believing friends, and students can be exposed to the love and teachings of Christ. We then want them to connect with other students and a caring adult. The ideal place for this is in a Vertical small group where they will be truly known, cared for, and encouraged. From here we desire students to start growing in their faith through small group Bible discussions, Wednesday night programming, and ideally on their own. We desire to teach and encourage students to read the Bible on their own and develop their own personal relationship with Christ that lasts beyond our ministry and follows them into adulthood. We believe that part of becomning more like Christ is serving. Therefore, we want our Vertical students to reach a place where they are serving at Vertical, in other minitries at Park Valley, and also serving their schools, communities, and those less fortunate. Our greatest hope is that this process would then be replicated when a student decides to reach out to their friends who need Jesus. Through out this process, our vision is that students would learn to honor God in their decisions, lifestyle, and attitudes.
