Our history
2003
Superior Paving
In 2003 after a phone call from Bob Surface, Barry & Christine White moved their family of four sons from Massachusetts back to Northern Virginia to start a church. They weren’t entirely sure what God would do, but they knew God was faithful. On September 13th, 2003 with 20 people, Park Valley Church was established. Park Valley met in the office space of Superior Paving. Even back then, we started the time off with a dozen donuts. It soon became clear nothing could stop God’s church from forming.
Alvey Elementary
2003
In the fall of 2003, Park Valley moved to Alvey Elementary school! At Alvey, we saw God’s faithfulness in the vision he planted of PVC. Our student ministries program officially started for Middle & High School Students. Our congregation grew from 70 to 1,200 people, and we launched connect groups!
2010
Haymarket Building
In 2010, we had a building to call home! This came after the infamous meeting for county approval, where even a tornado couldn’t keep our church out. At our original building, we needed 4 services to accommodate everyone. Our Young Adults ministry launched in 2012, and we held our first Conference! God’s faithfulness continued.
Battlefield High School
2014
Some called us crazy, but in 2014 we stopped holding services at our building and moved across the street to Battlefield High School. God’s direction was clear, we made the move to accommodate our quickly growing congregation as we expanded our building. Our church family set up portable church each and every week to expand the Gospel in our community.

2017
Haymarket New Building
Welcome Home! In 2017 our doors opened at our new building. Throughout the last 6 years, God has continued to bless Park Valley as we advance the Kingdom in our surrounding community and across the globe. Each week our Kid’s Ministry sees over 600 Elementary and Early Childhood Students come to learn about Jesus as families grow in their faith together. Our Student Ministry sees record numbers as we continue to reach the next generation. Our church mobilizes over 400 volunteers each week as we gather weekly to worship Jesus. And yes, we still serve donuts, over 1,200 each week to be exact! Our Open Arms team continues to provide a safe haven for children, kids, and families with disabilities and special needs. To our church family, thank you for your faithfulness to sharing Jesus with our neighbors. God has been faithful!
2022
Gainesville Campus
In November 2022 we started our third campus, Park Valley Church Gainesville. We launched on November 20th with a team of 60 volunteers committed to reaching our community. In the ten months since we have opened, 92 people have accepted Christ and 16 have been baptized. PVC Gainesville has a remarkable outreach team that serves our local schools, the Haymarket Food Pantry, and local community events.
Warrenton Campus
2019
In 2019 we started our second campus, Park Valley Church Warrenton. God has continued to bless our campus as we work to advance His Kingdom and give Him the glory! We’ve been able to launch Open Arms, our own GROW classes, and Celebrate Recovery, as well as a thriving Student Ministry for middle and high school students.
We’ve seen over 400 people give their lives to Christ at our Warrenton Campus. Nearly 50 people have braved the elements, both heat and cold, to be baptized outside. We give God all the praise, honor, and glory for what he has done and what he will do in Warrenton and the surrounding communities as we work to persuade people through love to follow Jesus.
